The thing with motivation is that its definitely a personal
thing - YOU need to find something to motivate YOU.
I've always found that I go through phases where motivation is
easy to find and others where I just can't be bothered. It's the latter
that's the problem and its during these times that you need something to get you
through.
Motivation Ideas
-
Define your goals - plan what
your schedule in advance then you can see how you're progressing and see
what missing training will cost you. How many times have you said to
yourself "If only I'd kept training my (insert something you've wanted
to improve) then I would have been able to do (insert a goal you haven't
achieved) by now."
-
Plan your own routines - you'll
be more likely to stick to something you've designed yourself.
-
Keep notes - this way if you do miss training you'll know
where you left off and can jump straight back in.
-
Watch a video of your idol -
sad but it works. If you want to be an amazing fighter, watching a
Bruce Lee film may just inspire you enough to get on with it.
-
Effort now = ease later.
If you stop doing something 'cos its difficult, it'll always be difficult.
Start training it and it'll get easier.
-
Remember that each time you train,
you're making yourself better than someone, somewhere. Therefore if you train enough, there won't be many people you'll left for
you to
worry about.
-
By the same token as No.6 -
If you're
not training, your opponents may well be.
These are just a few tips on keeping your motivation. I
use 'em and I haven't missed a training session through laziness for months.
GOOD LUCK!!
